I invite you to join me at ClarinetFest 2017 in Orlando Florida. I will be hosting a special Amateur Adult Clarinet Masterclass, July 26th at 2:30, designed for clarinetists of all levels of experience. Like a traditional masterclass, there will be five featured performers who will bring a clarinet challenge forward and play a piece of music for us. I will be coaching those players and helping them to find solutions to their challenges. Unlike a traditional masterclass, all participants in the class should have their clarinets set up because many of the technics that I will teach can help everyone. As we find a clarinet exercise that will help our brave volunteer soloists, you will also have a chance to try out this technic so you can learn a new tool to improve your own clarinet playing (in the anonymous comfort of a group setting - no fear of being asked to suddenly be a featured soloist just because you have a clarinet in your hands).

This will be a fun and inspiring event, and truly, all levels of playing are welcome. If you are relatively new to the clarinet, you will learn many new skills to develop your playing. More experienced players often benefit from reviewing technics that may be need some tuning up and may also pick up some new approaches to mastering their own clarinet skills.
